The Local LWVMesa offers topic presentations related to League of Women Positions. They cover local and state issues of current concerns to the voter. You do not have to be a member to attend, and men and women are encouraged to join our lively discussions!
Feb 13th – Program Planning
7pm Unit Meeting, Community Hospital, Basement
Come with ideas for program planning this coming year. We will review our local and national positions, state and national studies, and make decisions regarding our program plan. Karen Conner from the Montrose League as well as our state board liasian will be helping us with this meeting.
Citizenship In Action
The League of Women Voters of Mesa county is thoroughly dedicated to the fundamental principles of the League of
Women Voters and to its activities in support of those principles. The League
strives to implement those beliefs at the local - the grassroots
- level in Mesa County and in western Colorado. We assist and
encourage voter education, information, and recruitment throughout our
area and we strive to work cooperatively with others with
common interests.
The League of Women Voters, a nonpartisan political organization, encourages informed and active participation in government, works to increase understanding of major public policy issues, and influences public policy through education and advocacy.
